my dear students,
everytime i open this blog and read your journals, i always send a simple prayer to God for Him to shower you with wisdom, strength and patience to go on with your chosen career... that is nursing. I know that being as tudent is really hard 'coz you can not do things that you want to do... things which you think are good for you.. things that give you pleasure and feelings of fulfillment... But remember my dear students, your parents are depending on you. They are looking forward to seeing you on stage with your diploma and in the near future inside the PICC or maybe araneta coliseum taking your oath as a true Professional NURSE... I see the seriousness in some of you and simultaneously, I also see that some of you still are not that focus on your studies.... You are only few months away from graduation... persevere... work hard... study well... read your lessons... spend less time on things that are unimportant... whenever you feel that you can no longer go on, think of how Joseph the Dreamer worked and saved his family during a famine inspite of his brothers sin against him... (its in the old testament if you want to read it)... He never wavered.
Whenever you are scolded by your teachers, or CI's, don't take it as something that puts you down.... but rather, look at it as something constructive.
For some of you who always check this blogspot, thank you...
And for those who rarely opens this blog, someday, you will realize that evrything you take for granted has a purpose...
BE GOOD... STAY FOCUS.... AND PRAY....

Dear Anorexia,
It's time to say goodbye.
If we stay together any longer,
I know that I will die.
We've been together for a while,
and shared our secrets, I know.
It's hard for me to say this,
but it's time to let you go.
Mommy warned me of your ways,
and how you didn't treat me right.
When I told you of her worries,
you only put up a fight.
You made me poke my stomach,
and squeeze my meatless thighs.
And though I was only skin and bones,
I saw fat and hatred through your eyes.
With all the pain I had to suffer,
and the hunger I went through,
I realize I'm much better off
not to be with you.
So as I tell you my last words,
and bid you my farewell.
I can feel myself regaining strength,
and cannot wait to tell.
You will soon find another,
to haunt her and to scare.
and I only hope that she, too,
will show you she doesn't care.
I know that you will want to stay,
and pressure me to try.
But I am telling you now and for good,
Goodbye Anorexia. Goodbye.
To understand reality is not the same as to know about outward events. It is to perceive the essential nature of things. The best-informed man is not necessarily the wisest. Indeed there is a danger that precisely in the multiplicity of his knowledge he will lose sight of what is essential. But on the other hand, knowledge of an apparently trivial detail quite often makes it possible to see into the depth of things. And so the wise man will seek to acquire the best possible knowledge about events, but always without becoming dependent upon this knowledge. To recognize the significant in the factual is wisdom.
And that wisdom is not called wisdom if MAAM NHELIA hasn’t instilled knowledge that we your students wanted to seek...we are still craving for it!
tHaNkS MaAm!!!
" When you face your fear, most of the
time you will discover that it was not
really such a big threat after all. We
all need some form of deeply rooted,
powerful motivation - it empowers us to
overcome obstacles so we can live our
dreams."
