Primary nursing is they do personal care as well as care planning, documentation, etc. CNA assist the nurses, but do not have autonomous roles in patient care. This approach can provide better continuity and more expertise than the Team Nursing model.
Functional Nursing-assigns duties to professional and ancillary nursing personnel based on patients’ needs, available staff, and service needs. Supervises and evaluates work performance in terms of patient care, staff relations and efficiency of service. Provides for nursing care and cooperates with other members of medical care team in coordinating patients’ total needs. Identifies and studies nursing service problems and assists in their solutions. Observes nursing care and visits patients to insure that nursing care is carried out as directed and treatment is administered in accordance with physician’s instructions and to ascertain needs for additional or modified services. Maintains safe environment for patients. Operates or supervises operation of specialized equipment assigned to unit and provides assistance and guidance to nursing team as required.

a.Head nurse is the one who carry out new doctors order. they are also the who supervise the work of medication nurse, and procedure nurse. If there is un common problem in the patient they are the one notify the doctors.
b. Medication Nurse is the one responsible in administering medication to the patient with the right dose, right time, right time and right route. They are also the one who have authority in counter signing in the medication sheet.
c. Procedure Nurse. Taking vital signs is one of the responsibilities of the medication nurse; also in rendering morning and PM care to the patients. Monitoring the transfusion of blood(if theres any) and regulating well the IV fluid of the patient.
d. Supervisor nurse they plan work schedules and assign duties to nurses and aides, provide or arrange for training, and visit patients to observe nurses and to insure that care is proper. They may also insure records are maintained and equipment and supplies are ordered.
