Our return demo on injection and IV insertion was one of the best part of Pharmacology, it was a great experience to have. My experience during our return demo was great my feelings( grabe as in kinakabahan) during that time I was so excited and nervous because I don’t know if I can or I cant do it, then (dumating na po kayo with your higher students) then when we saw that our instructor would be her(mas lalo ako kinabahan) I don’t know what to do then when the return demo start(nanginginig na ako).
I think my performance with our return demo was good, I did my best even though(kinakabahan at nanginginig).
Return demo’s are very important in a student nurses, because how could we practice the right way if we wouldn’t demo it so we can see if we did it right or wrong. And it would also help us to make our return demo’s perfect. And we could apply it during our duties.
In a patient I should get the trust of my patient, because with the trust that the patient gives to the nurse, the patient is comfortable and the patient is sure that he/she is safe with the nurse.

thank you po mam for giving your best para matuto kami(sana po makapasa kami sa pharma.
GodBless...

Injection and IV insertion were the very great and exciting part of the subject (pharmacology). . Without a return demo you wouldn’t appreciate and enjoy the subject. During our return demo, iam very nervous and as a matter of fact my hands are tremble in holding a needle but iam confident that my performance in injection are good but the insertion of IV… honestly I need more practice about it…
During our return demo when iam pretending as a patient, when my partner injected the 1ml distilled H20, IM I experience the pain and almost cry, my hand can’t move in a minute it feels like it was paralyzed.
Being a student nurse it is really important that we experience first on our selves and feel the pain so that we understand later the feelings and we know how to comfort our future patients if ever.
In applying this procedure in a patient whether she/he cooperative or not, it is important that we are confident without hesitation so that we can get our patients trust that they are in good hands with us.

pricking other's body is hard to do. some feel nervous while others feel uncomfortable. the return demonstration in pharmacology, administration and insertion of drug via intradermal, intramascular, and intrevenous to be particular, is one of the most anticipated activity with regards to pharmacology subject. Though unsure to what should and shall be done, we pursued. I must admit i am one of the students who commited some errors particularly during the intradermal return demonstration (no prominent bulge).
Return demonstration plays a vital role in our choosen endeavor. Being taught on the proper directon, way, and administration of drugs and the like, is one of the most important nursing responsibilities. Practice makes perfect as they say.
In everything you do unto your patient it is but proper that you first inform them. disclose about the matters what is due to them and be knowledgeable about it.
Learn how to win the feelings of your patient it is then that they would cooperate with you as their nurse. Make them feel comfortable and being cared.
ma'am, you're one of the best teacher of the nursing department. I certainly enjoyed the summer class with you!!!!!!

One of the best highlights of the subject pharmacology is the injection and insertion of IV. In return demo we experience to be the patient and as a nurse, that’s why it was a very exciting and great experience.
During our retuned demo, I experienced how to inject and be injected by my partner…( my gosh ) I feel nervous and feel pain, especially the IM.. My performance during our demo is good coz I can make /hit it at once.
This returned demo is very important to us as a student nurse in order for us to experience the situation being a patient, the pain, the reaction and etc. thereby it helps us to understand them and give them the best care that they need.
It is very important to us to explain to our patients the procedure that we do in order to get the trust of our patients and make the procedure easy. Thanks to this subject and to our instructor for letting us to experience this method because it helps us to be more confident in our clinical duty.

Injection and insertion of IV is the great experience I ever had during my schooling as a student nurse. It was a very nervous and painful experience.
During our return demo well I can say that I didn’t make my best because of nervous and afraid especially when I saw some performing the return demo cried, shouted to relieve the pain. These lead me to become nervous but iam looking forward that my mistakes makes me better next time.
These are very important to experience the feeling being a nurse and patient that will help us to understand each one (nurse and patient) to make us more effective and skillful someday.
We just let our patients feel that we treated/care them the best we can so that they will trust us.

As a students nurse we can all experience having a returned demo in the injection and insertion of IV, a very exciting part of the pharmacology subject.
Our return demo is very painful experience especially the IM, it really hurts especially when my partner didn’t hit it once both the IV and ID. I can say that my performance is good because I hit them all (I.D., I.M. and IV) at one time,
These experiences are very important for us as a students nurse to become more confident and has skilled to handle patients in a clinical area.
To make cooperative our patients we should explain to them about the procedure, the reaction (pain) that may happen so that they will trust us and we can easily make the procedure smoothly.

our return demo was one of the most unforgettable experiences i had since i enrolled nursing. it was very stressful because we did 3 types of injection in just one return demo. i was really nervous because i wasnt that sure if i'd be able to perform perfectly or i would completely mess up.i was very confident with my ID injection, also with the IM but i had that "nginig factor" which made my performance a little bit uneasy. with the IV, i'm glad i was able to hit the vein of my partner!
actually, the purpose of the said return demo is not only to show the actualm performance or technique but also to put your feet on the shoes of your future patients so that you would know how it feels to be injected too.
it's really hard to gain your patient's cooperation sometimes but with proper and sincere explanation, you'll surely gain his/her cooperation. God bless.

Instruction: Write an elaborate essay on your experience in the return demonstration on injections and IV Insertion.
Guide Questions:
1. In detail, share your experience in the return demo. (feelings, etc)
-when ma'am said that we would be performing this return demo I am so excited but a the same time scared( kasi kailangan step by step tapos baka magkamali pa ako) coz the partner that i got was ate juliet she was so thin yes its very easy to do IV insertion but of course I dont want to hurt her. Then here comes the proctor hahahha kulang nalang himatayon na ako....huuuuuu.....

2. Evaluate your performance in the return demonstration.
- in the return demo as my proctor have told me i got a perfect score wow as in grabe, yes i got them all at my first hit paro masakit hahha kasi si ate juliet had a mistake in the intradermal naging subcu..hehehhe painful ampfness...hehehhe.

3. Looking back, would you have done or performed differently? Why and How?
- nope everything that was taught is the best and the right way on how to perform intradermal, subcu, ad Iv insertion why would I change it if i will change it it might harm my patient. so stop look and listen first hehehehhe....

4. How relevant is the return demo to your training as student nurses?
- in the hospital setting sometimes it is not followed but as a student nurse be a example to those people that has forgotten the RIGHTS. you'll render good service to your patient at the same time one will gain trust and respect.we will apply this in the near future when we are professionals already. when we are conducting return demo it is just a proof that you have learned from your teacher and you are ready to perform this in the real hospital setting.

5. Given an uncooperative patient, state interventions in which you can elicit his / her cooperation in the procedure.
- explain well to the patient but always give your respect and care so that your patient will be cooperative and will have the trust in you. then tell or explain that what you are dong is for his or her own good and wellness.

ma'am thank you po ha dami po ako natutunan at first takot po ako sainyo pero mali pala ako mabait po kayo and so gratefull to be one of your students....
wav u mam

This is my first time to have summer class and it was so great that one of my subject is Pharmacology. I have the most experience in having the activity in IV insertion, Intramuscular and Intra dermal that I cannot forget. At first I was really nervous that I cannot performed the activity correctly. It was so exciting because when I inject my partner it was just only one shot. I was so happy and grateful.
It is quite good for me that I performed the return demonstration correctly.
It was so relevant in doing this activity to have a training and experience to each every one of us. I want to have more practice so that when I go to the hospital and they will assigned me in IV insertion I can do it because of experience and I know what will I tell to my patient what is the feeling of it. It was very important to every student nurse because when we have mistakes our instructor will tell the right procedure.
We must know how to have a nurse patient interaction and have an explanation so that the trust of the patient will be with you and so that before perform anything the patient will be comfortable have the trust in you the you will give the best tender loving care.
Madam thanks for this grateful experience!!! Hope to see you again. Thanks for the big help and giving some more information. My summer is enjoy because of the techniques you have like giving some jokes….

1. In detail, share your experience in the return demo. (feelings, etc)
>Aim so happy and overwhelmed with the experienced I had during our demo
2. Evaluate your performance in the return demonstration.
>if it will be compared to evaluation GOAL PARTIALLY MET, aim not very satisfied with the result because I did not accomplished the job well
3. Looking back, would you have done or performed differently? Why and How?
>yes, I don’t want to condemn my partner but the demo was suppose to be a dual work with cooperation although he was cooperative but like him he was very scared that time that’s why its hard to accomplish things.

4. How relevant is the return demo to your training as student nurses?
>it is very relevant because In the hospital we will do those things and for the preparation to that the said demo was a experience for us lesson to us that these are the right methods and procedures.
5. Given an uncooperative patient, state interventions in which you can elicit his / her cooperation in the procedure.
>I had experienced that kind of pt. first day, he was very moody and really hate people around him, he is a spoiled brat I experienced bad words thrown at me, a almost give up but I pity him that much because he is really in pain and febrile, when her grandmother came to visit him. He asked for money and I noticed that he li liow from being moody, that’s when I tried to give him money and started to be nice to me!

I was so nervous and excited on our return demo on IM,ID, and IV insertion. I admit that I don't have that confidence that I can do it in the right way. I just thinking that " others can, why should I can't". I have nginig factor plus pasmado effect so guaranteed sasablay ako. But with the help of my prayers of course and supervision of ate Bless i was able to perform it even it was not done perfectly but atleast i have experienced it.
Return demo is very important to us student nurse because its one of our base line to be an effective professional nurse someday. It was just a beginning for more complicated procedures that will be introduced to us student nurses.
Far patient who are not cooperating in such interventions we should first establish a good rappor with them to get their trust and we can just simply explained to them what are their benefits when they will undergo to such interventions. Good coomunication techniques can do.
Thank you so much ma'am for sharing us knowledge that we can keep until we'll become professional "IF GODS PERMIT". I will never forget you.God bless you and your Family circle!

As a student nurse,Demo is just only a part of our activity to know and practice how to insert IV,INTRA DERMAL and INTRAMUSCULAR.
My experience in our return demo is very exciting even though I felt nervous because I don't know if Ive made a perfect score or what. When the demo get started,I want to give up because I don't want to feel the pain because it really hurt..but I told to myself that just relaxed and I can make it.
My performance in our demo is good because I did my very best to accomplished our demo and because of the assistance of Ms. Manuel.
The return demo is very important to us as a student nurse because we practice in ourself and feel the pain first before we are going to do to our patient soon.
Practice makes perfect,so that in the near future we can make it right to our patient and we can apply what we have learned in the school.
Before i do it to my patient,I greet him/her first,I introduce myself,I ask my patient if what his/her name so that i am sure that he/she are the one that i inject the medicine and I explained it what i am doing to her,so that she/he cooperate.
(ma'am,thanks for sharing your knowledges to us..hope we can passed the pharmacology subject.)

Hiting once body is not easy...we might felt nervous and sometimes afraid to do it..through pharmacology, we are able to learn the proper ways on how to do the Iv insertion,IM and ID injection, which is the most exciting part of it.........
During our Demo,I felt nervous because I am not so sure if I can perform it well...i experience how to inject and to be injected.....(gosh ang sakit..lalo na sa IM,napaiyak pa nga ako sa sobrang skit eh...)
I think my performance on said return Demo was good because I am able to do it well, even though I am afraid to do it especially when we are doing the IV.
The return demo is very important to us as a student nurse because how can we do it to our patient if we din't do it first to ourself.. through this we are able to apply what our instructor thought us, and experience the pain and shouted etc.that the pt. experienced.
we should to respect and explain well to the patient the effect of it for their own good so that the patient will show trust and cooperaTion......and be sure that you have chosen the right patient..

Good morning ma’am am so excited and fully happy when we have a demonstration in pharmacology because we learned new from your subject ma’am..but when I saw my crush in the higher year and he is the one who observe in my work I felt not good and nervous.. I think am done well, even though I cant heat the last IV ISERTION at least I saw him diba ma’am…yes im done differently compare to the others. because I am more fast and doing the right steps in administering drugs..our return demo is very important to us.. for getting experience and for the enhancement of our skills. And also to know, To avoid fault in administering parenteral drug.Uncooperative patient, for me I explain 1st to my patient the effect and important of what I given, for them to cooperate and be humble to your patient until you gained trust from her..

Thank you ma’am for reading my comment and for sharing your knowledge even though “PASAWAY KAMI”

*During our return demonstration on injection of IM, ID and IV, in pharmacology I got nervous not because I’m afraid of injection but if I could do it correctly. Together with my partner, miss Aiza Blanco, in ID injection I didn't make it perfectly because she acted so nervously (with shouting factor...) Although I’m fighting myself to got nervous. For the IM, she acted again like before that's why I forgot to put the dry cotton after injecting her but I made it, I hit the right location. For the IV insertion, I started to got nervous because it was my first time to inject, unfortunately I did it!! Just for one insertion that’s why I’m very happy.
* For me my performance was good and it could really help me to become confident enough to pursue my profession, and I do believe that God is guiding me at all times and really help me to become a good nurse someday to help also sick people.
*Way back... I do believe that I made it, confidence and trust to God is with me.
*The return demo was really a good practice for student nurses like us because it help us to make all things seriously because we already experience the pain of that injection, so we will be sensitive to our patient's feeling.
*If I will have an uncooperative patient, first thing for me to do is to gain his/her trust, explain the importance of the procedure to be done, the good effect of it and most especially to have nurse-patient interaction by introducing myself to them and ask some relevant questions.

When I entered pharmacology class I am very nervous I got my adrenalin rush, my nerve is breaking due to my school mates comments about the clinical instructress of pharmacology but when our class started I found out that they are wrong because mam nhelia is one of a kind instructress, instead she delivered the lecture is a smoothest way sometimes she give a joke its too (nakakalokahhh)but the jokes are related to our subject. The Return Demonstration is my unforgettable experience in my pharmacology class and same as my classmates. When we started the demonstration with my partner and I are very nervous (tas may nginig factor pah) but suddenly I inverted my needle to my partner with any (alinlangan kasi nan diyan c mam) to guide me in every mistakes I did, in every steps I did in the demonstration of iv insertion mam nhelia is always there at my side.we are lucky to performed with mam nhelia because she explain well and she gives some important technique’s about the iv insertion thatswhy I learned a lots in her subject I am very thankful to have a clinical instructress like mam nhelia I hope you’re my ci at qph madam. thank for the knowledge that you shared to us… GOD BLESS….

Before entering the class,i felt nervous because this is the time that we will be having our return demo on injection and iv insertion. This moment was so exciting and some "nginig factor".It so very hard to prick other body, because i don't know if i've done it right or wrong. With the help of our dearest instructor, i've done my best to pursue the task.In inserting the needle beyond the arms of my partner was so unforgettable experience, because of some reason that this time will be putting myself in the feet of my patient in the future. The said return demo was not only an activity regarding on Pharmacology subject but the importance of it was to see the capability of one student if she/he able to see her/him in the future as a nurse.
Thank you mam and i'm glad to be of your one student.I learned a lot from you..seeyah madam.God Bless mam and more power.

I really thankful because i enjoyed the summer class with my classmates, friends and to our instructor.........

As a student nurse it really hard to do the IV, IM, ID,because aim very nervous an uncomfortable.......

I think my performance in the return demo is good because i really try my best to performed it properly.......

Having this kind of activity it plays a very important role most specially to us as a student nurse, because someday we will apply all this things that we had learned in pharmacology. we need to practice because as they say that practice makes perfect, we need to feel the pain first, sooner or later we will become a nurse, so that we know what we are going to tell to our patient.

The return demo help me a lot to gain confident and to improve my skills and capabilities for the near future, because how can I comfort my pt. and how can I explain what I am going to do if I can't do it to my self first.

Before we give the medication to our patient we need to have a Nurse Patient Interaction so that we can get there trust to us....

god bless and thank you!!!!!!!!!HOPE WE PASSED THIS SUBJECT(PHARMACOLOGY)i really enjoy it most specially to your jokes.......jejejejej...charoz!!!!!!!!

Return demo is one procedure to test the student like me to learn and to know the right procedure in IV insertion,ID and IM.During our return demo i feel nervous because it is my first time to experience ID,IM,IV insertion. When I started to insert the needle for the skin test (nanginig ang aking katawan at pinapapawisan ang aking mga kamay)but suudenly i feel comfortable because i was e tsuccessful to do skin test.During IM insertion i feel vervous again but i do what I think the right procudure again I successful to do it.but during IV insertion i feel vervous at the samime(nanlalamig ang buong katawan ko)i did my best but i fail to succed.....
return demo is very important in one student nurse to test first the pain during injection so that if we give injection to our patient we know how to give haelth teaching to them.
In a patient we should get first the trust of our patient vice versa,so that the patient become comfortable.
Thank you maam for the best taeching that you given to me i wish mag aander pa ako sainyo para marami pa akong matutunan.

As a student i will follow all the instruction of my proffesor even my feeling is not to follow, our return demo was so great experience even this is not my first time to inject. First i'm not nervous because my partner is my cousin, so i feel confident bec. i think she have a trust, but in a minute i feel nervous already bec. the return demo start.
My performance i think is not that good even i did my best bec. i have a mistake. Our demo is very important bec. we have a experience that we can apply in the future if we success.in the part of the patient we should orient, explain what we are going to do, bec. that is so painful, bec. we experience also. So we perform well if we insert to the patient, so the demo we made is so very important to us and preperation to our future.

THANK YOU MA'AM........Your such an angel...

during our return demo i was praying really hard, I'm afraid i couldn't do it and i would just hurt my partner. I'm so conscious of what my partner would feel. I was so very nervous and as a matter of fact my whole body was shaking at that time especially at the moment when it was my time to demonstrate. aside from shaking I was also perspirating and funny but I heard my heart beat. It beats really loud.
I was not satisfied of my performance, i could have done better if only I'm confident enough at that moment.
I could have done right and excellent.Well what should i expect,I'm nervous,I'm afraid,my hands were trembling and I lack of confidence.
Our return demo is very relevant to our course. Nurses were the one who's responsible for the administration of drugs via different routes and as future nurse the demo served as our practice and experience also on how to administer drugs through parenteral routes.
explain the procedure to the patient. give disadvantages if he/she does not cooperate. provide comfort for the patient and biuld trust.

1. In detail, share your experience in the return demo. (feelings, etc)
- that was my most frightening day of my life i was so nevous for the fact that shelanie is the my partner she is chubby and i had a hard time looking for her vein that I will hit.
the proctor is helping me but because i am too nervous i cant do it I was shaking and I cant do it on fist hit in intra dermal i accidentally inserted it a bit deeper that shelanie almost cried and the Iv i had hit it on the second time.

2. Evaluate your performance in the return demonstration.
-well of course not to expect a high grade coz i didnt make it on first try only the intramuscular that i had had on first try.

3. Looking back, would you have done or performed differently? Why and How?
-if i will not follow the proper way of doing it my partner might get injured if i did it on my own way so i did it aswhat ma'am have taught us.

4. How relevant is the return demo to your training as student nurses?
- return demo is like an ecaluation to all the student if they have learned or not, bacause of this return demo student learn more.

5. Given an uncooperative patient, state interventions in which you can elicit his / her cooperation in the procedure.
-proper explanation of the thing that you will be doing to your client so that you will gai the clients trust, always explain why.

thats all ma'am

Instruction: Write an elaborate essay on your experience in the return demonstration on injections and IV Insertion.
Guide Questions:
1. In detail, share your experience in the return demo. (feelings, etc)
#_my experience was so exciting that i was to nervous that i want to take a pee..hehehe..but is was the best experience ever.weve done it before but the feeling was not the same, although it hurts me, by pricking the needle its like i want to redundan it, in the first place its like oh my gosh!!can i do the task??can i perfectly make it??what if my partner was a real patient??but my excitement,my nervousnes extremely dissapear when you demonstrated the iv insretion, wow!!maam is great i want to do it by just a hit that i would not ommit mistake..this activity was really a learning task..

2. Evaluate your performance in the return demonstration.
#_in the return demonstation think ive done good because even i had hurt my patient of course everyone got hurt..hmh.i did my best and i did not repeat the demo.the ID,IM.and IV,i made it all first hit..harhar..

3. Looking back, would you have done or performed differently? Why and How?
#_yes!!i performed differently because iam more knowledgable now and its like its not my first time,by how??although before i did well now i know i did better because i did not hurt my partner not unlike my other classmates..heheh..even he complains[para akong sinuntok ni pacquiao]

4. How relevant is the return demo to your training as student nurses?
#_its a big relevant to us as a student nurse because its a good training for us so that in the real field we will not got embarrased to our patients specially in giving meds we must ephatize the patient knowing how it hurts to be given some meds at least we ourselves would not want to ommit mistake..

5. Given an uncooperative patient, state interventions in which you can elicit his / her cooperation in the procedure.
the first step, explain the procedure very well ,the way they will understant it that its for their own good that without the medication they will not be able to get well..we must talk to them very politely.

It was a very painful experience but it was really enjoy and educational because as a student nurse we should have a background on such interventions to become a competetive and effective nurse.
Learning is a process. I don't think that my performance in return demo is perfect since it was my first time.
Return demo is very important to student nurse because it will serve as our guide on our future duties on real patients.
Uncooperative patients should be given more effort and time to explain what are the effects if they cooperate in such procedures, explain to them that it was for their own good.
Thaks ma'am for everything. I've learned a lot from you. God bless!!!!

1. Our return demo on injection was very exciting one. On that day, I felt nervous to be injected. In the ID, I hit it for just one shot, also for the IM but unluckily when I aspirated it there’s a backflow and still I continue to insert the sterile water. For the IV, I take it in one also because it was visible.
2. Our demo was a great one, If I were to evaluate myself, I think I made it and I just need to practice well.
3. During our demo, I was nervous but I’ve done it…maybe because I focus on what we are doing.
4. The return demo, was very relevant for us student nurse because it is our step to become more good to our profession
5. If I have a uncooperative patient, well…being a nurse I will get his/her trust and explain the things that I will be doing in order for Him/her to cooperate. I will also convince him/ her that it is for her own sake, to cure his/her illness.

Yesterday, we finished our activity on IV insertion, I got really exited, to think that it was a bloody activity that prick our senses, even though I had this butterfly on my stomach I did my best to take that experience. Funny, some of my classmate got scared to take IM for the second time, because it hurts ridiculously. hahahaha.
Anyway this experience helps us to be sensitive enough to handle them in a nice way, giving them consideration on everything for the betterment of their condition.
At first, I can’t really take off the feeling of nervousness but that
was normal for every student taking up this subject. But I always keep in mind that this is just the beginning (madami pang maeencounter) especially “hindi biro itong course na kinuha natin” we should also give importance to every patient that we would encounter.
I think, my performance got work too, at least. I’m sure I did great because I deserve to. Thanks with our instructor, Mrs . Nelia Perez. She did a great lecture on us after that activity. She was a nice model on us and that she was also approachable and cooperative. (Thank you ma’am for the free experience. Hehe). Even though I had some mistakes I care of it, next time I would be more competitive and practice it better for me to be an effective nurse someday.
For every patient we should encounter, the best thing that we should mold is that our ability to take charge of every patient in the hospital, we should be sociable enough with sense, and of course we should get our patients trust. Because when you let your patient trust on you cooperation should take place. More over a nurse can tolerate the pressure and be approachable so that patients will interact with you then everything may follow.
I did really enjoy this activity we had a great experience of it
Thank you very much ma’am Perez. God bless!!!!

Our return demo on IV insertion and and injection was the best and exiting activity that I've been experience. My experience during the return demo is nervous, even though it is my second time. But on the end it is not just like an easy to inject to my partner, because she is acting like a child. But then I'll do my part as a student nurse.
Honestly my performance during our return demo was not that good, because i forgot how to explain to my partner what is the injection for in the ID .Our "ate and kuya" was guide us in doing the right manner to communicate with the patient. In the IM injection I've got then a perfect score, because I'd learned from my mistake. In the IV insertion i was so dis appointed, because i cant seen the vein of my pair.So that I've been mistaken in insertion. On the second time, I got the best site in insertion so then I'm happy, because i do my part.
Looking back I've been mistaken at the 1'st injection because i can't explain What is the ID for,and the last is I've not seen the best sight before i insert the Iv.
As a student nurse it is very important to learn and to train our skill in doing the ID,IM, AND IV insertion before to apply to our patient.
If I've given a patient uncooperative i explain that it is not good to her or his health if it is not given the injection, or the insertion. And explain what can be the reaction of his or her body, if she or he can't receive the medicine.

MA'AM THANK YOU PO SA LAHAT , MARAMI PO AKONG NATUTUNAN.
GOD BLESS...........

1. In detail, share your experience in the return demo. (Feelings, etc)

>First I am nervous and very excited because I didn’t expect that one on one we will perform the demo. Even I have a little bit of tremor I hit my partner one shot only and I learn how to insert an I.V, I am nervous inserting because it is my first time, thank you madam of sharing your knowledge to us!! The other demo that we perform the skin test and I.M it is my second time so I expect what its feel even it is really hurt (like pakyaw punch and it is very mabigat to my arm) but see I learn!

2. Evaluate your performance in the return demonstration.

>My performance is very good and well done because I hit my partner once only in every route even I am nervous and a little bit of tremor.

3. Looking back, would you have done or performed differently? Why and How?

>Yes.. Because I have lot of knowledge now compare to past I perform better now without doubt. I perform how to give medication in correct route and learn what is the important of giving medication in correct patient.

4. How relevant is the return demo to your training as student nurses?

>As a student nurse it is very important to perform return demo so that we have knowledge in performing when we are in the hospital especially when we are soon to be a registered nurse. We trained so that we know how it feels when we perform now in our patient and so that we are well trained. If we do not perform a return demo (mangangamote tayo).

5. Given an uncooperative patient, state interventions in which you can elicit his / her cooperation in the procedure.

>Explain to the patient what is you are doing or performing, talk to your patient politely and tell what it feel or explain the effect. Do not say negative that affects the patient mind, get the trust of the patient and convince the patient in a right way…

Thank you madam for your sharing your knowledge in the return demo we learn a lot in your subject pharma….. GODBLESS TO YOU AND YOUR FAMILY! MWWAAHHH

Hello Mam ^_^

1. In detail, share your experience in the return demo. (feelings, etc)
- When we had our return demo the first emotion that I felt is, "Fear" to do a mistake to my partner. 2nd is "Happy" because in this return demo, I will gain knowledge about the IV insertion. This experience is great.

2. Evaluate your performance in the return demonstration.
-I can say that my performance is good because I already do it before in the SIGH when we had a return demo like this except for an IV insertion.^^,

3. Looking back, would you have done or performed differently? Why and How?
-No, because what I've done is the same as I did in the SIGH. The only thing that has changed is my self confidence because before I was "scared" But in this return demo not that much! hehehe!--,

4. How relevant is the return demo to your training as student nurses?
-This return demo is very relevant to me as a student nurse because in this demo, its like an actual performance when we will do it in the hospitals.

5. Given an uncooperative patient, state interventions in which you can elicit his / her cooperation in the procedure.
-Explain to the patient how important this procedure is.

- During our return demo of IV insertion and injection, I had the feeling of being nervous because at first, the first thing that comes to my mind is really hurt especially it is an actual one. I've noticed that intramuscular injection is the one that hurts me most.
- After doing all the procedure, I can say that I am not fully satisfied and I am slightly successful because I know that I did not performed perfectly but i did it on my best way.
- Through God's mercy, I don’t have any different deeds in performing the procedure nor I may be committed some but not too much.
- for me, the return demo is more relevant because it serves as a practice that could be use in the future and those procedures are commonly exercised in any health institution.
- in doing procedure to the uncooperative patient, I've tried to get first his trust and try to convince him to participate because it is a part of his medication for his fast recovery.

Thanks ma'am for your patience to us!!! God bless...

Instruction: Write an elaborate essay on your experience in the return demonstration on injections and IV Insertion.
Guide Questions:
1. In detail, share your experience in the return demo. (feelings, etc)

Scary feelings though I’m eager to learn and overcome my fear of needle. I felt that before the demo started because my partner is not yet familiar.

Evaluate your performance in the return demonstration.

Not so good and I realized easy when your listening, looking the demo of our CI but not that easy especially when you feel nervous. Actually the night before the demo I’m imagining things helpful to the tomorrows activity so got the feeling I can do wisely the demonstration on injection and the IV insertion but I was wrong…

3. Looking back, would you have done or performed differently? Why and How?

Yes different when it is on the mind, it’s like you can perform it wisely but doing it into action difficult especially when the veins not appeared. Should discover the strategies…

4. How relevant is the return demo to your training as student nurses?

The relevant of the return demo to each nursing student to realize the feelings of suffered from needles when it is injected or inserted many times in that case we assumed that we are the patient the next part we are the nurse giving medication through injection and IV if we failed means there is a possibility we will lost the trust of our patient.

Remember a patient suffering pain then again if nurse lack of practices and knowledge on how to satisfy IV and injections, our patients needing a medical assistance not a manikin and a nurse should not add more pain cause of malpractice. A nurse should competent, expert like the person I know. No need to mention everybody knows her…

5. Given an uncooperative patient, state interventions in which you can elicit his / her cooperation in the procedure.

A patient should also manage pain while doing the procedure and nurse should also convinced and assure the patient not to worry about it for the sake of fast recovery. She/he will need the procedure to cure the disease so instruct the patient what to do relax, and not to think about the pain and it will takes for a while then after that the pain will relief. The most important is the assurance and if the patient feels that they are well assured then in return they will TRUST YOU…but should never be broken.

My experience in the ID,IM and IV return demo was very interesting. What i think, i am already expert in those routes since i did thousands exposure in animals but i failed a single hit in ID and IV. I felt what my patient feel as i injected the syringe to him. That might be the reason why i failed but i did it in the 2nd hit. I also felt nervous when my partner injected me, eversince childhood i have phobia of being injected. I experienced hydrophoresis - sweat too much and weakness. I just close my eyes for every hit on my hands.

My performance is just okey, GOOD so far. I need more exposure, practice and probably consider the cooperation of the patient in doing such procedure. My patient is noisy and doing such movements during my demo. Anyway, to perfect such procedure, you need to do it several times with determination and care.

Comparing my practice in animals, it is far different in human. I never felt the pain when i injected animals but when i injected my patient, i felt the pain for every hit that i did. Doing for the first time infront of an evaluator is great, very challenging but always with nervousness. I always wanted to be perfect when it comes to an opportunity but i was not able to make it.

Experiencial learning is the best method of acquiring and developing skills. The return demo is very important in gaining skills, become more competent and strenghten the capability of a student nurse in facing or doing such drug administration technics to a patient in his/her future task as a student nurse and a licensed Nurse in the future.

Uncooperative patient will interfere effectiveness of the injection procedures especially ID and IV. However this can be avoided by educating the patient prior to injection on the occurence of PAIN during injection which is unavoidable; excessive movements will delay injection or can traumatize the injection site that will result to injury, pain, discomfort and posible route of entry of infection. The patient should therefore be informed to refrain or minimize movements.

When our teacher announced that we will have our demonstration on injection and IV insertion, I felt so nervous because it is my first time and also afraid that I will not perform well. But during our demonstration, my nervousness begin to slow down when I've done well the first demonstration.Only in the IV insertion that I've not done good because it is so hard to find the right site on where to insert.
My performance, I think was quite good because I've performed well on the intramuscular injection and ANST.Only in the IV insertion that I've not perfected.
Return demonstration about IV insertion and injection is so important to us as a nursing student because it serves as a practice to us so that when the time comes that we will have our duty at the hospital,we already know how to do it.
Given an uncooperative patient, first; I will gain the trust of my patient then I will encourage him/her by explaining the importance of having it and tell in a nice way that he/she will not be cured without his/her cooperation.

As our teacher in pharmacology announced that we will have a return demo on the parenteral routes which is the intradermal, intramuscular and intravenous, I felt nervous though it was the most exciting part of that subject, still I'm afraid.
When that day comes, I felt nervous because I don't know if I am going to do it.My partner was Ann Lorain and
we both feel nervous that time although we tried and experience that on our school before. I do it on the ID and IM but in IV, I have tried to insert the needle twice but then I wont be able to make it. I dont know if my grade was good. I experience also to become a patient of my partner and it is so painful, she also inserted the needle twice in the IV but she not able to insert it. The most painful route that I experience was the IM because it is so heavy so our our proctor said that we will not insert all the 2 ml distilled water.
I haven't perform differently all I can do is to put an extra care so that it will not harm my patient.
In the hospital setting, it was a great help to a student nurse to have a return demo to know what was the patient feels when the nurse is performing those parenteral routes.
If i will be given a uncooperative patient, I will explain to him/her the procedure and why it was done. I will also tell to my patient that it is necessary and that is for him/her good. I will also tell to my patient who I am to gain him/her trust.

Ma'am thank you I enjoyed pharmacology! God bless you always!

Guide Questions:

during the day of our return demo i was nervous and anxiety but excited...the most part of the return demo that i really want to improved is the insertion of IV..because this is my first time to insert..the return demo is one of the exciting part of being a student in pharmacology...i was shocked because our C.I invited 3rd year student which is our fructors...i was nervous because the fructors are already have a experienced in the different parenteral injection..
2. Evaluate your performance in the return demonstration.
i think my performance so far in the return demo in insertion so far are good specially in IM(nagkamali aq nung 1st time koh..) and also in the IV. but also in am(nanginginig and kinakabahan).
3. Looking back, would you have done or performed differently? Why and How?
For me retured demo's are most important part in becoming one of good and quality nurse..we have returned demo for us to expressed and feeling of being injected in parenterals..if we not retured demo in the parenteral we did know the feelings of being injected in that particular parenteral injection.
4. How relevant is the return demo to your training as student nurses? for me returned demo is a training as students because to be able to know what are your mistakes in that insertion and to improved our mistakes...and also to becom a good nurse someday....
5. Given an uncooperative patient, state interventions in which you can elicit his / her cooperation in the procedure.
for an instance the Nurse fail to get the trust of the patient because of the bad attitude of the nurse in the patient and also the patient feel no safe in the nurse because of his bad attitude and not proper care in the patient.

of course i felt nervous and excited during the demo because it was my first time to insert an IV using an avocat. In IM and ID i was succesfully performed it but in IV insertion i got only 15 points.I think yes because in IV insertion i cant hit the large vein of my partner then we change the site of insertion which is small than the first and i hit the vien.Return demo is very important as student nurse because we should fisrt evaluate our self,we should know if what site we are weak and for as to practice more to make it perfect.i will talk to the patient in a right way, right manners to get her/his trust and i will explain to the patient what will maybe the benefit if his/her cooperate with me. salamat po maam sa lahat ng joke na shinare nyo sa amin during our discussion para hindi kami antukin lalong lalo na ang kahalagahan ng aming kurso.yngat po at GODBLESS<<<

1.In the return demo I’m very happy to performing because is my second time to do it and little bit nervous.
2.I do my best but my performance in the return demo is not perfect for me, because in the IV insertion I didn’t insert to my partner because he have very thin vein.
3.I try my best to my partner, I do my own technique to do it and I follow all so the rule how to perform this activity.
4.In the hospital the rule of insertion of IV, intramuscular etc is not follow, as a student nurse I must follow the rule and to prevent mistake.
5.If I have an uncooperative patient, I try my all best to convince that patient, first I greet, I introduce my self and I told the procedure that I do for him. In this kind of procedure you can convince your patient.

Muchas gracias Madame,Sa lahat ng naituro nyo sa amin, marami po akong natutunan sa inyo lalo na po yung mga joke ninyo na sobrang ganda at related pa sa topic. THANK YOU NG MARAMI.

During our return demo I felt so exited and nervous because it’s my first time to do the IV insertion, ID and IM but it’s not my first time with ID, and IM when I insert the IV I able to heat the vain but not successfully inserted also in doing the ID I did not make wheel in the hand of my client. But I must say that I have done the return demo differently because I work with my own technique in doing the IV, ID and IM. in doing this activity I learned a lot like the proper way of doing it and as a student nurse and incoming future nurse we need to know it and it well be serve as training with us. The first thing that I have to do is to explain the procedures to get the trust of my patient to do my job properly…

Our return demo in IV insertion is important in Pharmacology it was experience to that activity, during return demo i felt nervous when we have our return demo.It was an experience that will serve and guide me on how to handle it properly.During my related learning experience
Some of us committed mistake thats why we learned from it and we are corrected then.
It is very essential on our part because it will depend on our knowledge and understanding that will mold us for our key to success
It is very important to the student nurse to know the proper IV insertion.I want to practice more so that when i go to hospital and assigned me in IV insertion i can do properly..........
Ma'am thanks or everything ilearned a lot to this subject and i enjoyed....''''''''''''''

Last May 15,2008 we have a return demonstration in our subject Pharmacology.I'm excited when our C.I told that we have demonstration in intravenous use of abbocath, intramuscular and intra dermal(skin test) because when we are in MCNP I already experienced this and I told to my self that I can do it in the proper or nice way but when we are in the situation I felt Nervous and I'm afraid because our C.I told us that every mistake or every procedure that you can not perform has a deduction of five so it means if you can not perform according the procedure you got zero score and our proctor is a 3rd year student of nursing at NC also. When we perform the intra dermal I'm afraid because we use used sterile water, sterile water is so painful to inject. My partner shout because we can not expect that I can push the Sterile water. Because one of the proctor can touch my chair so "Nabunggo nya at nagulat ako kaya naipush ko ng hindi ako ready".
My performance in our return demonstration is not good because when we insert the abbocath we my partner can not hot the vein because our vein is so thin and not straight even we do are best we can not perform well.
Looking back I can't perform well my IV insertion because my both hands are already injured so my hands is "nanginginig and nanghihina na ako nun" but I can perform also so that I got grade but I can't perform well because its to find the best vein to insert the abbocath.
Our return demonstration is so very important to our student so that after we exposed to the hospital we can already experience this and we also know if it is painful and hard to do.We first do this in our own or to our partner so that we master it before we can do this to our patient because if we don't know our patient hands may be injured because of us.
First we know the patient condition so that we can relate or you know how to convince him/her. After you gain the trust of the patient you explain the procedure and tell if it is painful and tell the reaction of the drug and tell if for what the medicine so that the patient know it.

The return demo on IV insertion and on ID and IV were very exciting. For me, as a transfery, its been hard for me to adjust that fast. I'm not at the clinical setting for almost 1 year. At first, Im able to perform well with my ID injection. My patient was that cooperative with what Im doing. But upon taking my shot for the IM injection I'm a little bit nervous and for that reason I forgot to aspirate first. For that instance, my point was deducted with 5. I feel sad by that time and I evenly saying that I would take IV insertion perfectly.
At first my partner was not that cooperative. She's trying to pull out her hands. I evenly tried to calm her and for instance she eventually cooperates with me. But I have another problem, I must use an AVOCAT that I never tried to use to. It was a wingless AVOCAT, some of the kind that was being used with pediatric patients. For this I begun to worry. How could I get a good score if still with IV insertion I would failed. Evenly with all of this worries I tried my best to insert the AVOCAT. In my first hit I didnt able to hit the vein of my partner because I cant control the AVOCAT. I tried my second hit at her left hand, at last I hit her vein but I'm quit sad for my score was low.
Despite this, Im still happy for I eventually gain another worthwhile expirience, a fruitful acitivity that the imparted knowledge of my CI and our proctors whom we can use for our future duties.
With this expirience, I cane to evaluate my performance before from my performance at the return demo. For that case I can say that the result of my return demo was quit bad. As a result of the return demo, I'm able to horn my skill pertaining with the said procedure. With that return demo, It was again proved that return demo's are important with student nurses to evaluate whether they understand the lessons, procedure well and to estimate the capacity of the student nurse before letting them, US, WE perform at the clinical setting. Thanks Ma'am......

In our return demo, i experience on how to perform IV insertion, IM injection and skin test. During our return demo i feel little bit nervous and tremor. it really hurts but its ok atleast we know how it feels.

2.If i will evaluate my performance in the return demo. In IV insertion, i can't do good, because i cannot hit the exact site. But in the other part of our return demo, like in the IM injection, i did it well even though my hand shaking while performing.hehehe

3. Looking back, would you have done or performed differently? Why and How?
ive done well as before,i had learened a lot compared before. My performance was better comparing my previous demo.

4. How relevant is the return demo to your training as student nurses?
The return demo training is important to our proffession because when we are in the area,or in the hospital during our duty,we can apply the things that we have learned in the return demo training.

5.Given an uncooperative patient, state interventions in which you can elicit his / her cooperation in the procedure.
-As student nurse, i'm going to explain to the patient what are going to do, and why it is necessary. so that the patient also know what i'm doin to his or her.

it was a great experience to somebody. in the return demonstratiion in pharmacology im bit of nervous but it was my second time agaiin that's wwhy i need to be calm because i have totaly experience when ii was in the hospital under Ma'am Manuzon.
-for me i think this is the best performance i had, because i realy try the best of my best to past the return demonstration and i performed it better.
-nope everything that was taught is the best and the right way on how to perform the procedure of insertion.
-as a student weneed to undergo iin return demo because when i was in the hospital we need to perform well and to be able to learn and experiencing painful first.
-in that sit. we need to use nursing pt. interaction, explain everything to the patient.and also need to show the feeling that they comfortable and being cared.

In our return demonstration,i felt so nervous because its my first time to experience on how to inject ID, IM and insert IV.
I think my evaluation to my self is good though i've encounter some mistakes, because at least i did my best to do the said activity.
Yes,i've perform well the first two demonstration, but not the IV insertion.
This return demo help the student to perform good when they have to affiliate in the hospital.
First, talk to the patient nicely then instruct him/her about the procedure and the importance of it.

Instruction: Write an elaborate essay on your experience in the return demonstration on injections and IV Insertion.
Guide Questions:

1. In detail, share your experience in the return demo. (feelings, etc)
-My experienced about the IV insertion if your patient mostly in girls, they are hardly to find their vein, because they are not working which is very difficult such as:magbuhat ng isang timbang tubig, & etc. not just like a man who worked very hard, that's why when they work their vein is so visible, so it is easy to find & to inject the syringe.

2. Evaluate your performances in the return demonstration.
-As when the return demo started I feel a little bit of nervous, because I'm afraid to make a mistake, but all I say is that I give my best shot when administering the IV,IM,& ID/skin test.

3.Looking back, would you have done or performed differently? Why and how?
-I think and I,m sure that what ma'am Nhelia show to us in doing the proper insertion of IV,IM & ID, That's what I did to my partner.

4. How relevant is the return to your training as student nurses?
-It is very much significance and benefits to me because If ever I'll become a Registered nurse it is easy to me to apply what I've learned in my student life.

5. Given an uncooperative patient, state interventions in which you can elicit his or her cooperation in the procedure.
-My very nice way to get the cooperation of my patient first thing that I will do is to greet him/her & introduced yourself to the patient & explained to him/her the procedure that you will going to perform & also explained the effect of your performance for e.g do the IM you explained to your patient "yung mararamdaman ng pag inject nito sa kanya"

Maam sa ibang page ko po naipost ung answer.....I was so excited but nervous on the day of our return demo. It was very painful.
I did'nt perform it perfectly but it was fulfilling that I was able to experienced it and next time I can do it on a right way.
I just performed the way they taught us because it was proven effective.
It is very significant to undergo with training as a student nurse to be more aware and to apply it on the real patient with the proper way.
To those patient who don't cooperate, I should get first their trust to comply to the procedure and I will explain to them their benefits if they will cooperate.
Ma'am please accept my comments. Thank you so much ma'am!!!God bless You!!!!

when the day that our instructor in pharma said that we have a return demo on the parenteral route.I felt nervous and excited because at last i can try to already to inject...But when the day comes parang ayaw ko na but i told to my self that if others can why cant i...So when that day,i was at ease because i thougt our instructor will be the one to assist us but when our ma'am said that there will be higher years to assist us biglang kinabahan ako ng todo and whole of my body were nanginginig...And that day i dont if i can do it or not but i"ve tried my best to do it but unluckily in the IV and ID,i tried twice but in IM i got only one shot.but when my returned to be injected i felt nervous because as i can in my classmates they almost cry pero nilakasan ko ang loob ko inorder to performed my partner too.My experience in this demo was have a great feelings and have the courage to pursue what i have started even it is very hard but its ok...Return demo is very important to us as a student bec. in this way i can know that my performance is good or not and this is the best way to learn bec.this is actual not assuming...If i have patient in the future that is uncooperative,i will explain to her the importance of this procedure and explain also the good effect in doing the procedure and as a nurse in the future we must the attitude that is "patience".Thank you...I enjoyed our pharma class.Godbless!!!

In the return demonstration in Pharmacology I am a bit nervous because in the first place I don’t want to have a point deduction if I failed to do the right procedure.
I evaluate my performance in the return demonstration “good” because in the following procedure I do my best to perform it well. I hope that in doing the same procedure to my patient in the future I will perform it very well.
Looking back in my performance I performed the procedure a bit different because I performed it to what is my style and to what the patient is comfortable.
The return demonstration is very relevant for my training as a student nurse because it is the basic skills a nurse must know when having a duty in Hospital. Given an uncooperative patient I will do my best to catch his/her attention and educate him the importance of performing that procedure to maintain his/her health and to cure

In the return demo that we have done, I feel that it is too painful and not good for me because during the IM insertion my muscle not feeling well and I feel that "Killing me softly" but still what a good experience. As I evaluate my performance during the return demo I give my care to my partner and I made it step by step as a proper performance. I made differently during the IM because the insulation of the distiled water to the muscle is to fast, and in IV, ID I made it normally. As relevant this return demo to my course as a student nurse, we may need this for every time at the hospital and to other cases. As an intervention I explain all of the procedure to my patient so that she/he can cooperate for the thing that I performed to them and give more care to them...

Guide Questions:
1. In detail, share your experience in the return demo. (feelings, etc)
-our return demo for me is so very hard but it is part of our subject matter. On our first injection( the Skin Test) is very hard to me, i don't know what I'm doing,, but when we perform, i Feel Bad( its so masakit), I'm nervous. I tell to my mind( pano na kaya ang susunod, baka masakit pa),, I'm gonna die to perform antoher,, And then next, it is the IM ( intramascular), oh my god(its sobrang masakit),, I feel more nervous,I shout, its has so very severe pain, and then the last, its the IV, its ok,nothing to have pain because its ok to me.

2. Evaluate your performance in the return demonstration.
-in Skin test,, i dont if what is my score becaue tumalsik kasi ung gamot when I injected to Princess, but i feel that I got perfect score to our 1st dem,, @nd is our Im, i dont to what is my score, Ang bilis ko to injected the distilled water,, my classmate react that (sobrang bilis daw ng pag-inject ko), then 3rd is our Iv, its not hard to do it because I knwo it to demonstrate,, i know my score and that is perfect,

3. Looking back, would you have done or performed differently? Why and How?
- yap I performed differently because i understand what is the proper way, but when in skin test, i don't what i'm doing but the rest I know it because I have knowledge to do it.

4.4. How relevant is the return demo to your training as student nurses?
-its relevant to us because as a Student nurse, we know now what we were doing such us giving medicine,
it is a proof that we know now how to injected to our patient.

5. Given an uncooperative patient, state interventions in which you can elicit his / her cooperation in the procedure.

In our return demonstration on injections and IV insertion is quite thrilling, exciting and of course i am a little bit nervous...Why?simply because it is very painful when you were injected. And the feeling of making mistakes.I really acknowledge my partner, Mr. domingo because he make initiative and teach me in my mistakes. My performance in the return demo is not perfect. Its just an average.Because i didn't perform perform well in IV insertion.Looking back, i would have performed differently. Why?Because i want to learn more to perfect my performance. How?To study more my lesson and being present in our classes. How relevant is the return demo to my training as nursing student? To concentrate well in any situation like in a critical situation. If i have given an uncooperated patient in performibg the procedure my interventions is, first greet the patient.then i will introduce myself and explain to him with my fullest heart what i am going to do. it was so challenging to me.. im afraid in IV insertion, i really don't want to insert an avocat on my partner's vein., thinking that it was painful.. hmm..we were done before in ID and IM insertion in my previous school, that's why im confident in doing it on my partner.. i did it perfectly but this time i failed.. and i hate myself for that..i guess, i got a zero score on that for trying to do it 3 times. [how sad, =(..] despite that, i feel happy for doing IM insertion in one shot.. and also in IV insertion. that was my first time inserting avocat, i feel nervous..i don't know what to do, i just followed my proctor, and i did it(thank you kuya)im more confident now on my skills, and i know i can do it again on my patient.. hmm.. my partner rhodge was so cooperative' he always encourage me, for me not to be afraid.. he did ID and IM insertion perfectly in one shot only, but he failed in IV insertion.. he really tried to insert the avocat on my vein, but it was only inserted on my skin..[natakot ata mga ugat ko sa needle kya bigla nagtago =)..] i did'nt experience having an avocat on my vein, that's why, in our return demo.. IM is painful' (sobra!! nahilo na2man ako like what happened before, during our first return demo) that was so memorable to me, i'll never forget that experience.
-return demo is important for us nurses, for us to be able to perform well in front of our patient.,

-ma'am, thank you for sharing your knowledge to us.. and sorry for what happened yesterday, just a important matter.. thanx po and godbless..

Guide Questions:

(feelings, etc)

-the return demo is so nervous part in pharmacology the feeling of anxiety, excitement is their. At first I though that it is only easy but then when I do it, it is not like a play I usually play when I was a kid "masakit pala". When the instructor told me to do even I see my partner being hurt I do it parin for the sake of my grade but then my partner is really nervous when we do the skin test she pull her arms so that's why I got zero I get mad for her but because when she do it on me I have no reaction even though I was hurt but then past is past maybe next time I will do it perfectly!!

2. Evaluate your performance in the return demonstration.

- I think that My performance is not good because I cannot able to perfect all 3 demo..So "naasar talga ako" at that whole day I feel like an idiot don't know what to do..

3. Looking back, would you have done or performed differently? Why and How?

-no, I need more and more practice so that I have a confidence to do such activity and have a confidence to do it on my future patient

4. How relevant is the return demo to your training as student nurses?

-A Of course as a student nurse we should know the proper way to administered those such thing we are not incapable doing it to other if we are not being train, and I think we should know what is the feeling how it is so hurt so that if we administer it we know what to tell to the patient

5. Given an uncooperative patient, state interventions in which you can elicit his / her cooperation in the procedure.

i enjoyed this activity...me and my partner give TRUST w/ each other so that we can perform the activity well...to be honest it was my 2nd time to perform this activity..but then i felt nervous still..but since were graded as individual,we need to perform the activity well to got a perfect score...we also need to cooperate w/ our partner..

..in IM and ID i got a perfect score,,but then in IV i need more practice..even though it was already my 2nd time around..

..in the IV insertion i performed differently,,because during my 1st return demo,in my 1st insertion, i hit already the vein and i performed well,,but during our return demo i need to insert twice,, i think its because i got nervous..

as a student nurse it was very important so that if ever someday i will become a RN i can easily apply the things that i had performed..and for me to know the feeling of the pt. while doing the IV insertion as well as doing IM and ID..

i will introduced 1st my name, explain the thing i will do..ask the name of my pt. then i'll try to get the attention until she/he gave his/her attention then thats the time i will performed the procedure..or i can tell him/her a story related to his/her case, and the good effect of the procedure i will performed..

mam thank you po sa lahat... sa mga lecture and jokes para hindi kami maboring..hehe...mam madami po kaming natutunan...hope maging lecture namin kayo ule...

My experience in return demo is different to others because of I had problems concerning about my paraphernalia’s. there are 2 or three of my classmates who knows that I lost my money before the day of return demo and I don’t have any money to buy abocath but, but luckily one of my classmate is very nice that she provide the abocath for me. Now in the day of return demo I am not so nervous because it’s not my first time to do the skin test. But the I.M. and I.V. is quite my first time and I don’t know if I will do it correctly,
My performance in return demo is not bad, I do my best is just that little bit nervous in performing IM and IV, it was my first time to do it. In my first try in performing at intramuscular was not good I hit a vein, and I’m so disappointed that I didn’t do it correctly, but in intravascular I luckily hit the vein because of the help of my instructor none other that Mrs. Nhelia Perez. Looking back at it, it will serve as my guide in the future to perform well and not commit errors. In my experience I to thinks first before you do anything because you are liable in all the things that you are doing. I’ve learned that experience and continue exposing yourself to other clinical techniques will make you a better nurse in the future. I must gain the trust of my client in order to perform my duty well.

Me...under the needle.

1. during our scary return demo, i felt so much nervous because i dont think my partner could do it to me in just one try and also i felt scared because I'm aiming the high scores so i tried my best to perfect it, but it fun, its a nice experience to have on this summer class. i enjoyed learning not only to our subject but also to my behavior.

2. i think my performance on my return demo is good not only good but very good because i have tried my best to perfect it, although im zero on skin test at least i have learned something on perfecting it on second try, i think i have the ability to familiarize my self on it.

3. yes i have performed different because what i know back then is just a brief knowledge on performing such skin test, iv infusion and intramuscular injecting know with the help of my pharmacology class, i have learned the most proper and easiest way.

4. Return demo is relevant for me as a nursing student because for us to familiarize, learn more, and do it perfectly for the benefit of the safenesses of the patient for them not to have so much pain and also to help them improve their health.

5. an example of uncooperative patient is a child,a child always refuse of needles and some medical procedures that the child needed, because their afraid of them. In order for them to cooperate in a nice way/manner i as a student nurse should assist the child, explaining what the procedure will cause him/her in a not scary way, i should pretend to be his/her friend in order to gain the trust i need.

Actually its not my first time to do the return demo, but in this situation I feel so very nervous because it was 2years ago when I experienced this return demo.I feel shock when my partner injected me an IM it was so very masakit hehehe naiyak pa ako. I dont have the right to refuse because it was a requirement for aus a student nurse.
My performance is not so good enough maybe because of lack of experienced.

While we were having our return demo, was nervous,, very nervous because syringes are my greatest fear and because it was just any return demo but a demo in a major subject. I know my IM and ID insertion was right, but on my IV insertion there was a great fear that I wouldn’t insert it correctly and I did not. (Hehe)… The vein wherein I inserted the needle bulged. And also forgot to took off his tourniquet that causes me to lessen 5 and 10 points to make it 15… as I have said I made a wrong insertion of an IV needle. As a student nurse we shall also administer medications to the areas where we will be assigned, because not all meds are thru oral route some are parenteral, so we should know how to administer these kinds of meds. If I were given a uncooperative patient, I’ll tell him/her to be cooperative to save time and for us to finish the administering quick and for lesser pain.

Thnx 4 sharing ur knowings ma’am. Godbless Olwes

Return demonstration activity is the one of the most exciting part of pharma because this activity is one of the great tool in my carrier as a nurse someday. i was excited that time but there is a little bit nervous because inserting needle our body is painfull but the most painfull among the 3 procedure was IM when the needle inserted in to my deltoid i want to run due to the pain (pero di ko ginawa kasi naisip ko yong partner ko baka ma zero sya) but the most interesting part or procedure was the IV insertion. i am very thankfull to our proctor because before doing anything she remined us to calmdown for us to performwell our activity. i am very thankfull also to our instructor for leting us to experienced IV, IM, ID Procedures that's are thing why i appreciate the return demonstration activity.
Among to the 3 parenteral procedure while performing i am nervous.in the ID im verygood, IM good But in IV not good because i didn't hit the vien in one shot.but even ive'd experience all of this i want to improve more for me to be very good in all the procedure.
As a student nurse this is relevant and important to us to know and experience because this is our duty to perform procedures correctly to our patient someday.because administering med's we should always remember all the rights of our patient and Right procedure.
the first thing that we do if our patient is uncooperative is we should apply our NPI which is theraputic. because stablishing NPI is the one thing to gain trust. if you gained trust encourage petient that this med's is important, and tell the truth feeling of the med's when inserted (sabihing tiisin kasi kailangan nya para gumaling) for him to get well.

The night before our return demo I was so excited to experience how to inject through ID, IM, and insertion of IV without thinking of the pain. Now time has come and we're all sitted inside the skills lab. My partner was so nervous and some of my classmates. I just kept silent and trying to calm myself although I felt a little nervous inside of me.On the three demos we performed the most painful was the IM that I almost cry. This is one of my unforgettable experience. I did really enjoy this demo although it's quite painful,I have learned a new lesson and skills and
that is the best part of it. For me
we cannot learn if we cannot bare or experience the pain. For after pain is learning. And these pain is our guide or stepping stone to perform well and reach the top.
I'm lucky that day because I have performed the three demos in just one shot. I did manage to control my nervousness. But the problem was my IV insertion wherein the vein buldge though I hit it in just one shot. I can say that I did it well although I didn't done it perfectly.
No, because there is a procedure that I should follow. It is only my part how to alter the pain and make my patient comfortable. Procedures should be follow because it's for the best and safety not only to you but also for the patient.
This demo is very important because one of our duty as a nurse is to administer drugs. And parenteral administration is very delicate and may harm our patient if not properly administered. This also makes us aware of the pain so that we know how to comfort and considerate our patient's feelings.
First we have to gain the trust of our patient through effective NPI. Explain the importance of the procedure. Make her comfortable and assure them that you will always there to comfort them.

Thank's ma'am for all the knowledge you have imparted to us. I really appreciate the way you teach and it's really effective.

_Now i know what is going to do if ever it may happen agian and prepare as what I expirence on the return demo,. I learn also to become brave and be calm for the things me to think better.,
_On the return demo i've done or performed all those thing as what has been instruct us by "Ate Manuel" she's our savior for that day, I've have given the best what I can do, compare as a patient it may need to alert always.
_It can be done or begining to be expert soon for the actual insertion or the procedures may done, I've act as a patient w/ a cooperation and to feel also during the demo.,
_First to do ask the patient be calm, how?>,1st instruct the patient for all the things i will do. 2nd get the trust of the patient by knowing or asking some part of his/her life or in short "chika"., 3rd to fine the site for the insertion, instruct also for what the may feel during insertion., The last is to insert the avocat.,

PS: I thank you for making my summer worthwhile. It was quite an experience! I wish and pray that you will all achieve what you came here for. Till we meet again (I HOPE)...

my performance, for me it is an excellent performance simply because i did the correct procedure.

no, because I've done the correct procedure of doing iv,im and id,thru the guidance of my clinical instructor.

it is very relevant because, what we did in the return demo is the same thing we are going to perform in the hospital.

I will explain to the patient the benefits of doing this procedure.

Exciting get it makes me feel nervous because honestly I’m afraid of needles. I performed perfectly the Intramuscular and the intra dermal but in the IV I’ve just got 10 points because I didn’t hit it on the first shot. Yeah I performed it differently because those three had different techniques in inserting. Having a return demonstration it is important to me especially in the field of nursing because it help us to master those. First you must develop the nice atmosphere or nice impression to your patient in order for him/her to cooperate to you nicely.

Our return demo was very exciting. I felt nervous in the IV insertion but i am very confident in ID and IM since i've experienced already at Callang Hospital during my duty there last sem.

My performance is good, however i need more exposure to become more confident. My patient is very cooperative eventhough i've seen that he was afraid of being hit with needle. He minimize movements and knows how to position himself and his hands thats why i've done the procedure almost perfect.

Return demonstration is an effective way of training student nurses to gain skills. Actual doing a certain procedure and experiencing the real clinical setting will guarantee effectiveness.

Before doing such procedure you should explain to the patient the dos and donts for him/her to understand and expect the exact outcome of the procedure that you will perform to him (e.g. pain} and tell him/her to minimize movements to facilitate easy and faster delivery of the technics.
